WHAT IS BRAIN BUSTERS?

Brain busters is a competitive trivia team consisting of sharp-witted students from both the 7th and 8th grade. These students take part in competitions and attend the annual Valley Interdisciplinary Approach (VIA) Engineering Convocation.

There are two types of competitions, school vs. school and mixed school meets.  During school vs. school meets the students from Haworth, Harrington Park, Norwood and Northvale compete against each other in a Team Jeopardy style competition to answer trivia and curriculum-based questions correctly.  During mixed meets, each team has students “mixed” with students from other schools. The competitions are a chance for the students to work and compete academically with other children from the surrounding schools.
